Job Title: Integration Engineer
Location: Remote, Hybrid or Onsite (Daytona Beach, FL / Ocala, FL ) 
Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview
Reliance Management Services (RMS) is seeking an experienced Integration Engineer – HL7 to support and enhance our medical imaging and healthcare IT infrastructure. This role ensures reliable image routing, system performance, and data integrity across PACS and connected clinical systems. You will collaborate with Radiology, IT, and clinical teams to maintain high availability and support mission-critical imaging workflows.

Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain system integrations using HL7, FHIR, DICOM, APIs, and related standards.
• Support integrations between RIS, PACS, dictation/voice recognition systems, EHR systems, and other clinical applications.
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot integration interfaces to ensure proper data mapping, formatting, and transmission.
• Manage and maintain DICOM systems, routing workflows, and storage configurations.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and internal data security standards.
• Monitor and optimize integration engine performance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and external partners.
• Develop and maintain documentation, workflows, and SOPs.
• Participate in upgrades, downtimes, and critical project support.
• Provide on-call support as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer technology or related field; OR
• Associate degree in computer technology plus five years of experience in healthcare system integration; OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills:
• Strong understanding of HL7 and DICOM standards.
• Experience working with PACS, RIS, EHR, and related imaging systems.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, REST/SOAP APIs, and interoperability tools.
• Familiarity with FHIR is preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytic skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.

Other Requirements:
• Valid Florida Driver’s License.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move equipment (up to approximately 75 lbs).
• Must maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI).
