Job Purpose:

 

The Continuous Improvement (CI) Intern will support a culture of continuous improvement by assisting in the development and facilitation of training on lean and Six Sigma methodologies, participating in kaizen events, and contributing to data analysis. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance business performance, document standard work processes, and track key performance indicators, all while prioritizing safety and efficiency. Through these efforts, the intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in driving improvements that align with the organization’s strategic goals.

Support Continuous Improvement Culture 

  • Assist in promoting a safety-first mentality in all improvement initiatives. 
  • Contribute to kaizen events and help document outcomes. 
  • Encourage team participation in CI activities and gather feedback on improvement suggestions. 

Contribute to Continuous Business Performance Improvement 

  • Learn and apply problem-solving tools and techniques (A3, DMAIC, PDCA) under guidance. 
  • Support cross-functional teams during improvement events and gather data for analysis. 
  • Assist in the implementation of CI tools, maintain documentation, and create visual aids. 
  • Aid in the identification of cost-saving opportunities and productivity enhancements. Participate in 5S initiatives and assist in maintaining organization standards. 

Assist in Aligning Teams to Strategic Priorities 

  • Help track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to daily performance. 
  • Take on special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned by the CI team. 

Attendance is mandatory to ensure effective team collaboration and productivity.
