Position Overview

The Event Sales & Operations Manager is responsible for event sales, golf outing sales, and seamless event operations at Back Creek Golf Club. This hybrid role blends proactive revenue generation with hands-on event execution, ensuring exceptional service from inquiry to post-event follow-up. You will be the primary driver of private event and outing revenue, the lead planner for clients, and the key liaison between sales, food & beverage, golf operations, and service teams.

 

Key Responsibilities – Sales & Revenue Generation

• Serve as the primary contact for all private event, wedding, social, corporate, and golf outing inquiries.

• Respond promptly to leads, conduct professional property tours, and create compelling proposals.

• Negotiate and convert leads into booked events while achieving monthly and annual revenue goals.

• Upload, track, and manage all leads through the Event Pro system.

• Maintain strong relationships with past clients to drive repeat and referral business.

• Update online platforms with current photos, videos, and promotional content.

• Support marketing with content submission and marketplace engagement.

Key Responsibilities – Event Planning & Coordination

• Oversee all client communication from booking through the final detail appointment.

• Prepare, update, and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).

• Conduct final walkthroughs and ensure smooth communication between all departments.

• Assist with internal club events including holiday brunches, golf member events, and seasonal celebrations.

Key Responsibilities – Golf Outing Sales & Execution

• Manage all outing inquiries, proposals, packages, and contracts.

• Develop outing programs and tournament enhancements.

• Collaborate with golf operations and F&B leaders to ensure proper planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities – Event Operations & Day-Of Management

• Serve as the on-site manager for all private events and outings.

• Manage event execution based on BEOs, timelines, and client expectations.

• Troubleshoot issues professionally and ensure guest satisfaction.

• Capture event photos and content for internal and marketing use.

Administrative & Financial Responsibilities

• Prepare event contracts, collect deposits, and enforce payment policies.

• Maintain accurate event files and Event Pro records.

• Assist with menu updates, package design, and sales collateral in Canva and Reserve.

• Participate in weekly management meetings and BEO meetings.

Qualifications


Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of experience in event sales, catering, or hospitality (country club or hotel preferred).

• Proven ability to close business and drive revenue.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM/event software experience preferred.

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work extended hours during peak seasons.
