Hospice of the Valley is looking for a local physician to serve as our Part-Time Medical Director, guiding a dedicated clinical team that supports patients and families with comfort, respect, and heart.

The Medical Director is responsible for overseeing and directing the medical services provided by the organization and plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, setting clinical standards, and fostering a culture of excellence within the hospice setting. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, provide clinical leadership, and contribute to strategic decision making to achieve agency goals.

Job Type: Part-Time, 10-12 Hours per week

Salary: $80,000 -$106,000

Requirements

· Local physician in the Glenwood Springs area

· Must be a graduate from an approved school of medicine

· Three years’ experience as a practicing physician in hospice, internal medicine, family practice, oncology, or related field

· Board certified in internal medicine, family practice, or hospice and palliative medicine.

· Has excellent observation, verbal, and written communication skills
