Base salaries starting at $28.50-$36.09 for Associate Licensure and ranging up to $34.76-$44.03 for Full Licensure DOE.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

As a Full Time Therapist at Wasatch Behavioral Health's Westpark Family Clinic in Provo, Utah, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect clinical services to individuals and families in need. You will have the opportunity to develop and supervise client treatment programs, conduct individual, family, and group psychotherapy for a range of mental health disorders, and assist in the development of permanency plans for clients and families. Additionally, you will perform intake assessments, provide stress management coaching, and liaise with various community agencies, ensuring continuity of care and support for those in your caseload. Your expertise and dedication will make a significant impact on those you serve, while working in a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Requirements

Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field, along with certification as a Certified Social Worker or equivalent.

  • Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor
  • Associate Marriage and Family Therapist or equivalent.
  • Must be a Certified Social Worker or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of psychology
  • diagnostic classifications and mental health concepts; normal and abnormal psychology; evaluation and various forms of psychotherapy; intervention & patient counseling processes
  • mental health care facility programs and procedures; addiction & dynamics of abuse; crisis intervention & suicide assessment methods.
  • Working knowledge of treatment involving psychotropic medications;
  • Maintain effective working relationships with multidisciplinary treatment teams, executives, professionals, administrators, and the public.
  • May be required to become certified in Domestic Violence and NOJOS.
  • Must become a therapist licensed by the State of Utah that enables that person to provide psychotherapy without supervision within thirty-six (36) months from the date of appointment or advancement to the Therapist II classification. Failure to obtain the appropriate license within thirty-six (36) months may result in discharge or demotion.

Knowledge of psychology, mental health concepts, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention techniques is essential. Proficiency in communication, both verbal and written, and the ability to build effective relationships with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders are crucial for success in this role. Candidates must also demonstrate the capacity to work under pressure during crisis situations and adhere to agency productivity standards.

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
