Production Supervisor Position Summary
Supervise production personnel and daily operations within assigned work centers to ensure on-time, high-quality output. Provide hands-on leadership, assign work orders, monitor performance, and support continuous improvement in safety, process quality, and training for assemblers and technicians.?
Key Responsibilities:
· Will have direct reports and supervise day-to-day operations for wire harness and cable assembly production lines.
· Plan, prioritize, and assign work to meet production schedules and delivery requirements.
· Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and company policies.
· Monitor team performance, identify training needs, and foster continuous improvement.
· Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve production issues.
· Maintain accurate production reports, labor tracking, and work order documentation.
· Drive lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives to optimize workflow and minimize waste.
· Support onboarding and training of new team members on equipment, tools, and work instructions.
· Lead daily Gemba walks / stand-up meetings to review KPIs, goals, and shift expectations.
· Manage and drive KPI’s for the production area
Requirements
Qualifications:
· 4-Year Bachelor Degree in Operations Management, or Equivalent, from accredited university, either achieved or in progress
· 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, ideally in wire harness, cable assembly, or electrical component production.
· Working knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards and quality control processes.
· Fluent in English required, willing to learn Spanish &/or Vietnamese.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
· Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., JobBOSS, SAP, or similar).
· Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Continuous Improvement principles.
