The Summer Internship Program 2026 is designed to attract undergraduate talent with a fresh perspectives and innovative thinking.
Interns will be given meaningful ownership of real work that contributes directly to CPI’s strategic goals.
Role Overview: The Software Intern will be embedded within the Software department and will support the delivery of our most strategically important New Product Development (NPD) project – SC3.
This placement will involve contributing to high-impact development activities that are critical to the success of the product launch.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the development, testing, and integration of software components for the NPD project
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and daily stand-ups as part of an Agile development team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support feature delivery
• Document technical work, including code, test results, and implementation notes
• Take ownership of a defined sub-project or feature area with measurable outcomes by the end of the internship
Required Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:
• Working toward a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Familiarity with relevant languages/tools, e.g. Python, C++, Git, etc.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
• Effective communication and collaboration in a team environment
