The role you will contribute:

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, configuration, implementation, and ongoing support of the software environment. This role provides technical leadership and oversight across all aspects of the software lifecycle, ensuring robust, scalable, and efficient systems. Serving as a point of escalation and subject matter expert, the Senior Systems Engineer offers advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution, while also mentoring and guiding team members to strengthen their technical capabilities and overall performance.

·         Maintains accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance logs, and inventory updates as directed.

·         Maintains an active, working mobile phone at all times in order to support team members and the organization as needed. Position requires that employee must have the ability to make and receive business-related phone calls and text messages 24 hours a day and seven days per week during on-call assignment. However, even when not on-call, employee should be reasonably available for technical escalations as needed.

·         Maintains an effective and accurate information resource library to include software, system documentation, disaster recovery procedures, and related standards.

·         Communicates effectively with team members and leadership regarding ticket and project status.

·         Participates in training sessions to develop knowledge of collaboration based platforms.

·         Ensures system security by implementing security measures and protocols.

·         Provides support and guidance to associate and intermediate level resources by educating on subject matter expertise and assisting with complex issues.

·         Acts as a subject matter expert for both the team and leadership and participates in vendor selection.

·         Analyzes issues and presents ideas effectively to top levels of the organization.

·         Ensures the development and execution of the IT Roadmap.

·         Manages projects by assessing risks, ensuring timely delivery, and communicating issues to leadership, while evaluating emerging unified communications technologies to inform strategic planning.

·         Oversees project planning and participates in vendor selection.

·         Successfully assesses project risks, formulates mitigation plans, and delivers successful projects in a timely and cost-efficient manner as shown by project statistics.

·         Leads, implements, and manages integrations between enterprise application delivery services platforms and enterprise systems to ensure seamless interoperability.

·         Other duties as assigned.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

·         Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Required

·         Experience in several of the following areas: Scripting, Powershell, Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, Certificates (PKI), Application configurations Preferred

·         5+ of systems engineering experience in a work environment Required

·         Experience supporting a complex environment, with multiple locations and rapidly changing operational and technology changes Required

·         Experience comprehending technical manuals and instructions Required

·         Experience writing technical specifications and creating designs Required

·         Experience mentoring and training team members Required

·         Experience with Virtualization technology, Active directory and domain, database connections, terminal servers, Citrix Xen app, Xen desktop, farms, Zones, Provisioning (High Availability), IIS, Security, Certificates Group Policy, Citrix policy, Citrix workload and balancing, Networking and Xen Server Host (operations, functionality, and clustering) Required

·         Analytical skills

·         Ability to provide guidance and oversight to team

·         Knowledge and experience with Citrix Cloud, Azure, PVS and MCS, Published apps, VDI (Virtual desktops)

·         Strong technical depth in Citrix virtual desktops, VMware, and Windows Operating Systems

·         Thin Client using Virtual Desktop Interface Technology

·         Detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks and heavy workloads efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Hyper-V or other Hyper Visor experience Preferred

·         Citrix Experience in hardware and application environment problem analysis with an emphasis in healthcare or business applications Preferred

·         Certification relevant to applicable software Preferred

·         Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization (CCA-V) Preferred

·         Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V) Preferred

·         Citrix Certified Expert - Virtualization (CCE-V) Preferred

·         Chartered Credit Analyst (CCA) Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) Preferred

·         Citrix Certified Advanced Administrator (CCAA) Preferred

·         Azure Preferred

·         AWS Preferred

·         VMware VCP-DCV Preferred

·         Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, 802.1q tagging, routing protocols preferred.
