About the Role:
As a CV/ML Engineer at Lumafield, you will design and run experiments to characterize new algorithms and automations in Voyager’s data processing pipeline– which powers inspection and analysis for manufacturers around the world. You will work closely with the Product, Engineering, and Research teams at Lumafield to harden algorithms and prepare them for production release. This role is a great fit for somebody early in their career who is looking to develop both engineering and scientific rigor.

What you'll do:
Develop a deep understanding of image and CT data quality
Build and curate a library of test scans that highlight real customer challenges
Work with product managers to define acceptance criteria for performance tests
Build automated test harnesses for algorithms and ML models
About you:
Bachelors in CS, Engineering, or a related field
Independent, curious, and detail-oriented
Have a scientific mindset and run clean experiments
Are comfortable iterating and refining a prototype
Have excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills and are known for the quality of your work
Comfortable in Python and typical scientific computing packages (Pandas, Numpy, Scipy)
Bonus points for:
Experience with computer vision imaging, or spatial data workflows (e.g. point clouds, meshes, voxels)
Background in engineering, physics, or applied sciences
Experience with experiment design and data science
