Allegiance Industries is looking for an experienced and technically savvy Commercial-Electric Project Manager and a leader who will join our North Carolina Electrical Division.
As the Associate Project Manager, you are a leader who seeks out innovation to increase our performance, efficiencies and successes on all levels.
Reports directly to the Division Manager and DOEO
What will you do?
• Assist in developing project plans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables under supervision of the Project Manager and Division Manager
• Coordinate scheduling and logistics for project activities, meetings, and resource allocation.
• Help maintain and update project documentation, including scope, submittals, status letters, and change orders.
• Track task completion and follow up with team members to ensure milestones are met.
• Serve as a point of contact between internal teams, subcontractors, and clients for routine project updates.
• Prepare and distribute project meeting notes, agendas, and status summaries.
• Support clear and consistent communication across departments, ensuring all stakeholders remain informed of project progress.
• Assist in monitoring budgets and expenses; prepare reports for project cost tracking.
• Help process purchase orders, invoices, and vendor documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations across project tasks.
• Maintain organized digital and physical records of project files, drawings, and reports.
• Review submittals, specifications, and other documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Support quality assurance and assist in identifying and tracking issues or risks.
• Participate in on-the-job training to develop technical and managerial skills related to electrical project management.
• Shadow senior project managers to learn project delivery processes and best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the project management team.
• Support electrical design review coordination between engineers and field teams.
• Assist with material take-offs, estimates, procurement tracking, and field installation schedules.
• Participate in site visits to monitor work progress and assist in issue resolution.
Qualifications
- At least 1-3 years of project management experience in the electrical trade
- Understanding of electric power engineering
- Field experience coordinating with construction management
- Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take offs, change orders and contracts
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships and assist in winning projects
- Proven ability to run a profitable portfolio
- Exceptional initiative, execution and communication skills
- Excellent analytical, motivational leadership skills
- Electrician’s license a plus!
