Position Overview

Magruder Hospital is seeking a Senior Director of Ancillary Services to lead and oversee the strategic and operational functions of our Laboratory, Imaging, and Cardiopulmonary departments. This executive-level role ensures high-quality, efficient, and compliant service delivery across all ancillary services, aligning departmental goals with the hospital’s mission and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and daily operational oversight for Laboratory, Imaging, and Cardiopulmonary departments.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets to ensure cost-effective resource utilization.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate staff; foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
• Implement new technologies, equipment, and service lines to enhance patient care.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, infection control, and regulatory standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP, ACR, Joint Commission).
• Collaborate with hospital administration and department leaders to develop service strategies.
• Partner with marketing and revenue cycle teams to support strategic initiatives and financial performance.
• Maintain accurate job descriptions, conduct staff meetings, and manage disciplinary actions as needed.
• Lead community service initiatives and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Guide policy development and ensure adherence to hospital culture and compliance standards.
• Stay current with healthcare trends, regulations, and technologies impacting ancillary services.
