The CRC department is hiring a full-time Service Team Leader, in their Salt Lake City, UT location.  Oversees and coordinates the daily operations of their team, ensuring the efficient and high-quality repair and maintenance of equipment. This role involves leading a team of technicians, managing service workflows, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective leadership, technical expertise, and adherence to safety and quality standards.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of service technicians, ensuring they have the necessary tools, training, and support to perform their duties effectively.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss service updates, performance metrics, and any issues or challenges.
  • Evaluate technician performance, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for skill development and training.
  • Oversee the daily operations of their service team, including scheduling and assigning service tasks to technicians.
  • Ensure that service jobs are completed efficiently, within budget, and to high standards of quality and safety.
  • Monitor and manage the workflow to optimize productivity, minimize equipment downtime, and meet service deadlines.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to technicians for diagnosing and repairing equipment issues.
  • Ensuring that all repairs and maintenance are performed according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Must understand and adhere to the personal responsibility of safety, and work safely at all times. Adhere to all company safety programs and policies. The team leader will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment, leading by example, safety shares, Tyfoom, proper tooling, PPE, near-miss reporting, and practicing safe behaviors.
  • Work closely with the Service Advisor team to review service requests, provide technical guidance, and address any customer concerns.
  • Promote a culture of safety within the service department by adhering to and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
  • Identify areas for improvement in service processes and procedures, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Encourage and facilitate a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the service team.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a heavy equipment service role, with at least 5-6 years of experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team of technicians.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of equipment systems and repair techniques
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members.
  • Proficiency in service management software and basic office applications.
  • Good computer skills to include Microsoft Office, Cat ET & SIS, and other related software platforms.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of service quality and safety.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
