Summary
Leads a team of employees responsible for sales of excess transmission capacity, real time monitoring of transmission scheduling, calculation of transmission losses, regulatory compliance, and coordination with real time system operators, energy traders, outage scheduling, and settlements personnel.
What You'll Do
• Marketing, sales and billing settlements of SRP's excess transmission in accordance with SRP's Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT).
• Provide annual forecasts of point-to-point (PTP) transmission sales and perform monthly reviews of actual sales against the forecast for TGO's budget.
• The SRS Manager must gain a comprehensive understanding of SRP's OATT and business practices, including annual reviews of required posted documents on SRP's OASIS and supporting the OATT revision process in collaboration with SRP's Legal department.
• Coordinate with transmission customers and prepare transmission service agreements (point to point and network/NITS).
• Calculation of transmission losses for Joint Participation Projects and SRP transmission assets.
• Real time monitoring of transmission scheduling.
• Outage processing and notifications.
• Ensure tools are built and maintained to support SRS operations (Transmission information database, Loss calculators, PVE TTC calculator, customer notification tools).
• Lead TGO and cross-functional teams in integrating new resources into SRP.
• Ensure TGO compliance with NERC Standards, FERC Orders where applicable, and SRP Policies and Operating Practices.
• Mentor and develop Direct Reports in their roles, responsibilities and career development.
• Administers and reviews work performed by consultants and others, including neighboring utilities.
• Supports TGO's training program by developing, instructing, and administering training.
• Serves on industry committees and task forces as a representative of SRP.
• Involved in the development and execution of TGO's goals/objectives and strategic plan.
• Professionally packages and presents key strategies and plans to management.
What It Takes To Succeed
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies and industry trends.
- Experience working with Operational Technology (OT) systems is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal departments, external partners, and industry organizations.
- Compliance with FERC and SRP "Code of Conduct" confidentiality.
Experience
A minimum of seven years of related experience is required (if no degree, 11 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling 11 years).

Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
