Crisis Professional Opportunity:

The Crisis Professional (CP) provides crisis intervention, crisis counseling for individuals and families, referral and short-term follow-up, and collaborative community consultation, and education. Perform crisis line risk assessments to evaluate and triage to the most appropriate treatment setting.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay range starts at $26.50 to $27.75 for Bachelor’s candidates and $32.50 to $35.50 for Masters candidates, depending on experience. In addition, there is $1.50/hr shift differential for 2:00pm-10:00pm hours and $2.50/hr shift differential for 10:00pm-6:00am hours.
  • We have full and roles available. The current available shift is 8:00pm - 6:00am.
  • PTO, paid holidays, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, on-site bistro and cafeteria, pharmacy, newly updated facility, life insurance, accident insurance, hospital insurance, employee assistance program, and employee discounts.
  • As a full-time employee of NCHC, you are eligible for the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The WRS is a hybrid defined benefit plan. It contains elements of both a 401(k) or defined contribution plan and a defined benefit plan. Participating staff contribute 6.95% and NCHC will match this at 100% each pay period! 

 

What Qualifies You:

Crisis Professional - Bachelors: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Psychology, or another related field with a preferred one year or work in a related field.

Crisis Professional - Masters: Master's Degree in Human Services, social work, counseling, or another related field, with a preferred one year of work in a related field.

 

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Communicate effectively with others.
  • Confidently make decisions as needed in crisis situations.
  • Detail oriented documentation.
  • Reliable attendance.
  • Calm and composed in crisis situations.
  • Ability to provide patient centered and trauma informed care.
  • Passion for working with a diverse population in various settings.
  • Valid Wisconsin driver's license, use of a personal vehicle and appropriate auto insurance coverage as required by North Central Health Care.

What a Crisis Professional does at NCHC:

  • Provides immediate support in on-site and mobile crisis situations for Behavioral Health Services
  • Develops crisis plans based on crisis assessment information
  • Collaborates with law enforcement
  • Communicates effectively with all necessary personnel throughout patient care cases.
  • Provides information, support, intervention, emergency services coordination, and referral for additional or ongoing services
  • Documents in a detailed and timely manner the care provided in the EMR
