Are you looking for a new opportunity in entertainment? The Pittsburgh Improv is seeking a passionate Floor Manager to join our operations team! Candidates with experience in live venue entertainment, hospitality, and management are encouraged to apply. (Background in comedy a HUGE plus!)
The Floor Manager will play a vital role in managing all aspects of our business, while providing support to the General Manager and Assistant General Manager as needed. The Floor Manager oversees front of house operations in accordance with standardized policies in order to assist in providing an optimal guest experience and profitable operations.
Job Duties:
- Maintain team member morale and address concerns with care and efficiency.
- Oversees the front of house staff during operations, which includes assigned daily operation tasks.
- Responds to customer complaints tactfully and professionally.
- Maintains quality control for all food served.
- Provides staff with on-the-job feedback to improve the customer experience.
- Projects future needs for goods, kitchen supplies, and cleaning products in the absence of management.
- Manage oversight of health code compliance and sanitation standards.
- Oversees and administers onboarding and new training programs for newly hired employees and retrains existing staff.
- Research ways to cut waste and decrease operational costs.
- Completes any assignments with efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience working as a Lead or Supervisor for a restaurant/club is required.
- strong understanding of hospitality in a restaurant or club environment is a must.
- Significant work experience in the hospitality industry.
- Front and back of house experience is a plus.
- Detail-oriented and reliable.
- Strong working knowledge of food and beverage service.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday hours.
- Familiar with the functionality of a standard POS System.
- Must demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess the ability to critically think through issues and make decisions independently.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
