The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for the acceptance and inspection of incoming shipments to ensure the accuracy of material received. This roles tags new material, updates inventory, and maintains receiving paperwork.

1st Shift - 4:30am to 3:00pm

How you’ll contribute to our company:

  • Reconcile records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders with receiving material to verify accuracy
  • Inspect material for transit damage and/or defects
  •  If required, verify gauge, width, coil measurements, and hardness
  • Record receiving data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes
  • Update inventory through AS 400
  • Generate inventory tag; confirm accuracy; tag and identify material
  • Communicate with sales, suppliers, truck drivers, and supervisor to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or quality
  • Assist other personnel when needed in storage areas
  • Clean and maintain housekeeping of receiving office, docks, and surrounding area
