VP of Title Operations

Job Summary

Title Resources Group (TRG) is seeking a seasoned VP of Title Operations to provide leadership and direction for its title operations division. In this executive role, you will oversee all day-to-day operational activities of the business unit and ensure they align with the organization’s goals and objectives. The VP of Title Operations will interface with clients and internal departments, drive business planning initiatives, and maintain the overall functionality and efficiency of the title operations business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Organizational Management: Provide overall leadership and direction for all functions within the title operations department, ensuring each function performs efficiently and in alignment with company objectives.
  • Technology & Process Improvement: Collaborate with technology vendors to build and improve TitleFlow, the company’s title production software, in order to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Policy Compliance & Guidance: Provide clear guidance and direction to staff, ensuring strict adherence to established company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Talent Management: Oversee the department’s talent management efforts – including supporting recruitment, performance management, coaching, and employee engagement – to build a high-performing team.
  • Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement: Define and track key performance indicators to measure organizational success, and drive initiatives to continuously improve results and service standards. ,
  • Operational Excellence: Supervise all business activities to uphold a high standard of professional excellence among staff members and across operations.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee major operational projects and initiatives, including approving overall project plans, budgets, and work breakdown structures to ensure successful execution.
  • Strategic Planning: Establish and implement short-term and long-term strategies for delivering services to customers on time and within budget, aligning operational plans with broader business goals.
  • Goal Setting & Methodology: Set and clearly communicate departmental goals and objectives; define methodologies and tasks, and outline roles and responsibilities for team members to ensure clarity in execution.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Foster cross-functional coordination by communicating broadly and ensuring alignment across different departments and teams within the organization.
  • Strategic Counsel & Decision-Making: Lead strategic planning initiatives informed by thorough cost-benefit analyses and provide guidance on operational decisions to optimize performance and growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience (required).
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the title insurance industry, with a strong track record of increasing leadership responsibilities.
  • Results Orientation: Clear results orientation with an intense focus on achieving both short-term and long-term business goals.
  • Adaptability: Proven success thriving in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environments within the industry.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills – including interpersonal, presentation, and influencing abilities – that facilitate effective engagement with stakeholders at all levels. ,
  • Executive Leadership: Strong executive-level communication skills and demonstrated general management capabilities, suitable for a senior leadership role.
  • Strategic Insight: Demonstrated ability to provide thoughtful and effective counsel on complex business issues to the senior management team, acting as a trusted strategic advisor.

This VP of Title Operations role is a highly visible leadership position charged with driving operational excellence and innovation in title services.
