Description
The Standard Products Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all activities related to the inspection, maintenance, and service of portable fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and pre-engineered suppression systems. This role ensures that work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company procedures, NFPA codes, and customer expectations.
The Supervisor provides direct field and operational leadership to a team of technicians, coordinating with internal departments to maintain productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction for all Standard Products Technicians.
- Conduct regular team huddles and communicate priorities, schedules, and updates clearly.
- Support technician development through field coaching, performance feedback, and training.
- Promote a positive and accountable team culture focused on quality, safety, and service excellence.
Operational Management
- Plan and manage technician routes and daily schedules to ensure timely completion of inspections and service work.
- Monitor open work orders and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Partner with Coordinators to ensure proper job preparation, routing, and customer communication.
- Review technician documentation, ensuring completeness and compliance with NFPA standards.
Qualifications
Quality & Performance
- Maintain visibility in the field to support inspections, audits, troubleshooting, and customer interactions.
- Drive operational consistency by reinforcing standard work practices and company policies.
- Identify process or performance gaps and work collaboratively with management to implement improvements.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with the Operations Manager, other Division Leads, and the Deficiency Sales team to support company objectives.
- Communicate effectively with technicians, coordinators, and customers to maintain alignment and accountability.
- Ensure all documentation, photos, and reports are completed and submitted in a timely and accurate manner.
