The Opportunity

As a Yoga Instructor at Chelsea Piers Fitness, you’ll guide members through intentional classes that build strength, balance, and calm. Our state-of-the-art studios and supportive community give you the opportunity to share your practice, inspire consistency, and help members connect body, mind, and breath.

Schedule: Part-Time, must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule including weekend, holiday and early morning/midday/late evening weekday availability.

Compensation: $50 - $75 per hour, depending on experience 

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead inspiring, safe, and inclusive yoga classes that align with Chelsea Piers Fitness standards and community culture.
  • Provide intelligent sequencing and mindful cueing for all levels, including modifications and advancements.
  • Create a welcoming and grounded environment focused on physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Encourage consistent practice and member retention through authentic connection and personal engagement.
  • Support promotional efforts by participating in community events and maintaining an active social media presence.

Qualifications


Qualifications

  • 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certification required (500 hour is preferred)
  • At least 2 years of teaching yoga classes preferred.
  • CPR & AED Certification
  • Knowledge of anatomy, alignment, and mindfulness-based practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Reliable with ability to attend all scheduled hours.
  • Must be able to lift 30 to 45 pounds or appropriate weight to lead class
