About the Department
The City is currently looking for a qualified at-will, hourly, part-time, Technical Specialist I to fill a vacancy in the Revenue Management Division of the Finance Department. This recruitment will also establish an eligibility list for future vacancies. The Technical Specialist I will perform general cashiering, counter assistance to the public, and a variety of duties to support the Revenue Management Division.
Working Hours - This position is classified as at-will, hourly, part-time with no benefits provided. Hourly, part-time positions average 20 hours per week and less than 1,000 hours in a twelve (12) month period.

Position Duties
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- One (1) year of cash handling and customer service experience.

Minimum Qualifications
- Receive and record receipt of money from the public and other City departments in the form of cash, check, and credit card.
- Balance and prepare summaries of daily receipts and cash.
- Provide customer service to walk up, online, and over the phone customers.
- Assist customers with billing inquiries; review payment and billing history, including skips and re-reads.
- Process returned mail and returned payments; including follow-up collection efforts.
- Perform general work in the revenue management division; including citywide tax collection and utility billing.
Essential duties require the following physical skills and work environment: Ability to work in a standard office environment.
