Job Summary
We are seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our Construction team supporting projects across the West Coast. This position plays a key role in assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with company standards and client expectations.
Working under the direction of Senior VP, Director of Design, Planning & Construction, the Junior Project Manager will provide critical administrative and operational support to the project management team, helping to move projects from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate project materials, research, and documentation.
- Prepare and maintain submittal logs for projects based on drawings and specifications.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of contract documents to contractors and vendors.
- Support the development and monitoring of project budgets, schedules, and reports.
- Schedule, attend, and accurately document project-related meetings, including meeting minutes and follow-up action items.
- Assist with notifications and communications required for project performance and compliance.
- Prepare and distribute project closeout documentation, ensuring all deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide general support to project managers and leadership team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience supporting construction or project management activities (internship or co-op experience accepted).
- Solid understanding of construction processes, project documentation, and terminology.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and professional in appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work efficiently from a home office environment and travel as needed.
