Estimating & Cost Control
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for fabrication, machining, and assembly projects using SecturaSoft and related tools.
- Analyze customer drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project scope, risk, and material requirements.
- Calculate setup times, run rates, material usage, and labor needs to develop competitive, realistic quotes.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to secure pricing for raw materials, services, and tooling.
- Work with Planning, Scheduling, and Sales teams to confirm production feasibility and delivery timelines.
- Reassess and refine cost estimates during budget revisions or design changes.
- Track actual job costs to identify variances and improve future estimate accuracy.
CAD Drafting & Document Control
- Create detailed engineering drawings and DXF files based on customer-supplied models or specifications.
- Maintain strict document control for engineering files, revisions, and design documentation.
- Ensure drawing updates and changes are clearly communicated across teams.
