Transportation Driver

Location: Elizabeth, NJ

Job Type: Part-Time | On-Call | Flexible Hours


As a Transportation Driver, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient crew transportation operations. You’ll coordinate routes, communicate with dispatch, and deliver exceptional customer service — all while maintaining the highest safety standards.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Safely transporting vessel crews, captains, and luggage between assigned locations (ports, airports, hotels, etc.).
  • Providing professional, courteous, and on-time transportation services.

  • Communicating clearly with dispatchers via phone or computer to receive trip details and updates.

  • Planning efficient driving routes and staying informed about traffic and weather conditions.

  • Following all federal, state, and local transportation laws and company safety guidelines.

  • Reporting vehicle issues promptly and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of your assigned vehicle.

  • Performing basic vehicle upkeep such as checking fluids, adding gas, and monitoring tire pressure.

  • Completing accident or incident reports accurately and in a timely manner, if required.

  • Assisting with other transportation or office tasks as assigned by management.


Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Class C endorsement preferred (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).

  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) preferred (or ability to obtain within 30 days).

  • Must pass a federal and state background screening and pre-employment checks.

  • Available for on-call shifts, including some nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Previous professional driving or transportation experience preferred.

  • Basic First Aid training is a plus.
