THE ROLE

Your role is to shape the galaxy of talent at Mothership Coffee. From onboarding new recruits to leveling up seasoned baristas, you’ll be the force that turns training into transformation.

This is a hands-on, on-your-feet role — part coach, part mentor, part barista Jedi. You’ll empower our crew with the skills, confidence, and sparkle to deliver excellence in every shot, every pour, every interaction.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Train in Orbit (On the Bar): Lead by example, working shoulder-to-shoulder with baristas during live café service.
• Onboard New Recruits: Welcome new hires with immersive, culture-driven training that sets them up to shine from day one.
• Elevate Skills: Guide ongoing workshops on espresso mastery, workflow efficiency, drink artistry, and stellar hospitality.
• Model the Culture: Embody kindness, accountability, and excellence in real time, inspiring others to follow your lead.
• Activate Leadership Pipelines: Spot rising stars and help them grow into future shift leads, managers, and beyond.
• Design Training Tools: Guide trainees on following training guides that feel as inspiring as they are useful.
• Adapt in Real Time: Use feedback, data, and café observations to tweak and improve training on the fly.
• Step In, Show Up: Support cafés during rushes or challenges - proving that training is lived, not just lectured.
