Accounts Payable Specialist en CHALLENGE ENTERPRISES OF NORTH FLORIDA INC

Description: To accurately, efficiently, and timely process and report agency financial information.  Specifically, all aspects of Accounts Payable.  Provide support to the other Accounting Clerk, Accounting Supervisor and Chief Operations Officer as needed.

Responsibilities and duties of this position includes:

•    Follow all Challenge Enterprises of North Florida, Inc.’s policies and procedures as set forth in the Board of Director’s approved Personnel Handbook.
•    Promote the Agency’s Mission- To promote “The Power of People and Possibilities” for individuals living with a disability.

1.    ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
a.    Prepare monthly invoices for accounts payable processing.
b.    Enter the accounting computer program.
c.    Print monthly checks.
d.    Print monthly, quarterly, annual reports (see Procedures)
e.    Close out for the month by the 10th
f.    Manage all outstanding accounts payable invoices and purchase orders.
g.    Maintain and reconcile tracking spreadsheets.

2.     ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
a.    Provide back up support as needed.

3.    PAYROLL
a.    Provide back up support as needed.

4.    OTHER DUTIES
a.    Perform other duties as assigned
 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
•    Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
•    Must be able to pass a Level 2 background check.
•    Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
•    Prefer a minimum of two (2) years experience.
•    Must have successfully completed two accounting courses.
•     Must be able to understand written and oral instructions and follow through efficiently.
•    Must be fluent in English.
•    Must be able to climb stairs, sit and stand throughout the day.
