Department Overview
The Senior Manager, Corporate Insurance will serve as a strategic leader within the Corporate Insurance team, bridging the gap between operational management and executive oversight. This role is responsible for leading complex insurance initiatives, influencing cross-functional decisions, and mentoring team members. The Senior Manager will represent the Corporate Insurance function across departments and to senior leadership, driving innovation and ensuring alignment with McDonald’s global risk management strategy.
Duties
- Lead Complex Insurance Programs and Strategic Initiatives: Independently manage high-impact insurance projects and programs, including global and ancillary coverage. Make strategic decisions regarding insurance purchasing, coverage design, and risk mitigation. Present recommendations and insights to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Influence: Serve as a key liaison to departments such as Legal, Corporate Finance, Supply Chain, and Real Estate. Influence enterprise-wide decisions by providing expert insurance counsel and innovative solutions. Represent Corporate Insurance in strategic meetings and negotiations.
- Mentorship and Team Development: Coach and support Managers and Supervisors within the Corporate Insurance team. Act as a technical resource and mentor to colleagues across the organization. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Insurance Program Oversight and Compliance: Oversee complex renewal processes and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards. Review and approve insurance applications, binders, and invoices for accuracy and strategic alignment. Support captive insurance operations and board-level activities as needed.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders. Communicate insurance strategy, program updates, and emerging risks to leadership and business units. Lead presentations, training sessions, and workshops to elevate insurance understanding across the company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., ARM, CPCU) preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate insurance or risk management, with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior leadership.

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this role is $130,434.00 - $163,042.00 per year
