As our Health & Safety Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role in shaping a culture of safety and wellbeing across our division. You’ll take the lead in developing, coordinating, and driving proactive safety programs that not only meet, but exceed regulatory and company standards.
In this role, you’ll partner with teams at all levels to prevent incidents, champion best practices, and ensure every employee goes home safe and healthy every day. If you’re a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to workplace safety, we’d love to have you on our team.
Responsibilities:- Manage day-to-day division safety programs, including policy implementation, workforce training, documentation, and corrective actions.
- Serve as a point of contact with federal, state, and local agencies, as well as internal health and safety partners.
- Support the development and application of compliance programs to meet regulatory and company requirements.
- Promote awareness of health and safety practices and encourage continuous improvement across teams.
- Coordinate functional team activities related to safety compliance and reporting.
- Conduct air and noise monitoring and assess workplace industrial hygiene needs.
- Perform periodic audits to check compliance with health and safety standards.
- Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage; assist supervisors with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Track and support initiatives to reduce safety-related incidents in the workplace.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and provide updates on compliance and initiatives.
- Maintain safety management systems, including written procedures, training requirements, auditing tools, and action plans.
- Facilitate health and safety training, including new hire orientation and refresher sessions.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field preferred.
- 10 years+ years of related experience.
- 5 years+ years of AEC experience preferred.
- OSHA 30 required.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications,
- Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
