- Documents procedures for all phases of testing and test results.
- Improves and automates the test methodology.
- Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience
- Discipline/Major: Engineering degree required
- Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge, skills & abilities: Conformance testing. Product testing. Test engineering. Quality standard development. Bug/defect identification. Industry standards. Test documentation. Bug tracking software. Software testing tools. Oral and written communication skills. Critical thinking. Analytical thinking.
- Proficient in testing of ordnance and other energetic-loaded items, and associated diagnostics, to include:
- Experienced in creation of test plans and test reports to support ordnance testing operations
- Willing and able to travel to outside vendor and external test sites as needed
- Proficient in test failure diagnosis, using standard methodologies (5-Why, 8D, fishbone diagrams, etc.)
- Ability to obtain and maintain up to a collateral SECRET clearance
- Experience with shaped charge warheads and associated manufacturing and test techniques highly preferred
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
- May need to stand for long periods of time.
- Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
