Position Overview:
Hidden Level is seeking a Director of Strategic Partnerships to lead the identification, development, and execution of high-impact partnerships across defense, aerospace, and commercial sectors. This is a high-ownership, externally facing role focused on building long-term strategic relationships that drive growth, innovation, and mission success.
You’ll work closely with executive leadership, product teams, and external stakeholders to structure and close deals that unlock new capabilities—from joint R&D to co-marketing and shared economics. This is not a passive relationship management role—it’s about initiating, negotiating, and delivering results.
Location: This role can be based in Washington DC Metro area, Syracuse, NY or performed remotely on the East Coast.
Responsibilities:
Lead Strategic Dealmaking
- Source and evaluate partnership opportunities aligned with Hidden Level’s mission and growth strategy.
- Develop and foster long term, sustainable relationships that fuel growth and innovation within the ecosystem while adding value to Hidden Level.
- Structure and negotiate complex agreements involving technology collaboration, joint investment, and revenue sharing.
- Own the full lifecycle of partnership development—from pitch to contract execution.
Drive Cross-Functional Alignment
- Collaborate with product, engineering, legal, and finance teams to assess feasibility and define partnership terms.
- Translate technical capabilities into compelling business value for partners.
- Ensure seamless handoff to internal teams for operational execution.
Represent Hidden Level Externally
- Serve as a trusted ambassador in partner meetings, industry events, and strategic forums.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across government, commercial, and technology sectors.
Deliver Strategic Insights
- Develop financial models, market analyses, and executive-ready materials to support decision-making and identify opportunities.
- Monitor partnership performance and recommend optimizations to maximize impact.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, consulting, or investment banking
- Proven track record of closing complex commercial or government deals.
- Strong analytical skills and fluency in financial modeling.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Technical curiosity and ability to engage with engineering teams.
- Willingness to travel 25–40% to meet partners and drive momentum.
- U.S. Person status and ability to obtain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in defense, aerospace, or RF sensing technologies.
- Background in engineering or technical program management.
- Passion for mission-driven innovation and national security.
Compensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, and disability insurance. The company also provides a remote or hybrid work environment and potential stock options.
Salary Range: The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $130,000 to $170,000 annually.
