Activity Aide
Join our dedicated team as an Activity Aide and play a vital role in enriching the lives of our residents through engaging and meaningful activities. Hours are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday and rotating weekends, one a month.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of recreational and social activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
- Assist residents with participation in activities, providing encouragement and support
- Monitor and document residents’ responses to activities, noting any changes or concerns
- Collaborate with team members and family members to develop individualized activity plans
- Maintain a safe and clean activity area, ensuring all equipment and materials are in good condition
- Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere that fosters social interaction and emotional well-being
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in recreational therapy, activities coordination, or related field preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents’ needs
- Ability to organize and lead group activities effectively
- Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging others in meaningful activities
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and ability to handle emergency situations if necessary

Requirements
Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and completed high school or obtained the equivalent of a high school education; and
- Must be able to positively deal with the public; and
- Must possess or have the capacity to acquire knowledge of applicable regulations governing the development and implementation of an effective activities program; and
- Must possess the ability to speak to and be understood by residents and staff, and demonstrate the ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions; and
- Must possess an agreeable and helpful attitude toward senior adults.
