Lead Recovery Support Specialist (Lead RSS) - Full Time. Thursday-Saturday 4pm -2:30am. This position is eligible for applicable shift differentials.
Provide support and leadership to fellow RSS team members to direct care and support to patients in all program levels of care.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Provide on-site leadership and training to RSS staff, complete staff shift schedule and assignments
- Consistently collaborate with Clinical and Nursing supervision to discuss care plans and issues
- Reporting of patient medical concern or medical observation concern, point-of-care testing, biometrics, specimen collection language services, observation checks, witness to skin assessment, medical observation, psychiatric observation, patient transfers, discharges
- Round each unit often to support or provide education as needed, checking in with providers, clinical, reception, admissions, security, maintenance, and kitchen staff
- Assist with breaks, discharges, and new admissions when needed
- Provide de-escalation for both staff and patients when necessary
- Provide RSS care and support as directed
- Maintain a safe and caring environment, delivering care in a culturally sensitive manner and consistent with Wellbridge mission, vision and values

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide patient care and support. For patient care needs, this is an on-site role. Communicate and exchange information clearly verbally and electronically. Consistently mobile, traversing general office and facility areas to monitor patient areas. Occasional computer and phone, general office equipment use.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or educational equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working in addiction treatment required.
- General knowledge of substance uses and/or mental health disorders.
- BLS within 60 days of hire.
- Demonstrated communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Current NYS driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some lead or supervisory experience.
- Certified Recovery Peer Advocate, CRPA.
- Completion of a Nurse Assistant Program or 1st year nursing program completion.
- Familiarity with all relevant healthcare standards: OASAS, ASAM, etc.
- Knowledge of Self-Help Programs, Mutual Support groups Programs, and 12-step programs.
- Completion of a mental health, social health care or nursing assistant program.
