Summary

 The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service to guests by managing restaurant reservations efficiently and accurately. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate seamlessly with restaurant and service teams to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience from initial contact through seating.

 

Essential Functions

Job duties include, although are not limited to:

  • Manage and coordinate reservations across all F&B outlets, ensuring accuracy and timely updates in SevenRooms.
  • Handle incoming reservation requests via phone, email, and online channels promptly and professionally.
  • Communicate guest preferences, special requests, and dietary restrictions to the appropriate restaurant teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of reservations, cancellations, and no-shows.
  • Provide real-time updates to restaurant management regarding guest arrivals, expected delays, or changes in party size.
  • Assist in managing waitlists during peak periods to maximize seating efficiency.
  • Resolve guest inquiries and concerns regarding reservations in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Collaborate closely with Front of House staff and management to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Assist with the creation and distribution of BEOs (Banquet Event Orders) as needed to support F&B operations.
  • Participate in training sessions, staff meetings, and departmental initiatives as required.
  • Assist with onboarding and ongoing training for hosts, and support the host stand when necessary.

 

Internal Relationships

Reports to the F&B Operations Manager and collaborates closely with restaurant management, hosts, and service teams.

 

External Relationships

Has regular contact with hotel guests, members, and other external partners as needed to facilitate reservations and guest service.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in reservations, guest services, or hospitality strongly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with reservation systems (e.g., SevenRooms, OpenTable, Resy).
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor, strong organizational skills, and guest-focused attitude.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 

Education/Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in reservations, guest services, or hospitality strongly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with reservation systems (ie. SevenRooms, OpenTable, Resy)
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

 

Physical Requirements

Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
