Information Systems Intern

Location: Birmingham, AL

Job Description

The Information Systems Intern will support the Information Systems department and assist in duties in the Information Systems department. This position requires flexibility in managing multiple projects and priorities while performing day-to-day responsibilities with minimal supervision and maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Set up user accounts and configure systems.
• Maintain and document support tickets.
• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure in test environment (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Automate services and monitor cloud performance.
• Ensure cloud security and cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
• Support software updates and patches.
• Liaise with users and vendors for technical issues.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related degree
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to work overtime and flexible hours as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in Information Systems
• Proficient with Adobe Creation Suite
• Knowledge of social media analytics software such as Facebook Insights to track audience engagement and campaign performance
