Job Summary:

The Credentialing & Onboarding Specialist manages provider credentialing and recredentialing, leads onboarding from start to finish, and maintains accurate personnel records while transitioning paper files to electronic systems.



Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develops, facilitates, and conducts credentialing file audits on a monthly basis.
  • Conducts turn-key initial credentialing for newly hired providers.
  • Conducts turn-key recredentialing for currently hired providers.
  • Contact providers to ensure DEA and Licensure is up-to-date in the credentialing files.
  • Create and maintain personnel file databases in paper and electronic format.
  • Maintains a credentialing database and quick reference guide for credentialing.
  • Maintains a DEA and Licensure database and quick reference guide.
  • Perform onboarding class for new hires on a weekly basis.
  • Works directly with Chief’s of the medical, dental, and behavioral health teams to ensure that credentialing or recredentialing files are complete and accurate. Ensure Chief’s sign off on files.
  • Properly files and uploads needed documents to the appropriate departments within HCCH.
  • Works to convert paper files to electronic format.
  • Collaborates with HR team to upload needed employee documents and obtain employee signatures electronically in the appropriate location in the HRIS.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 


Requirements

 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ? Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.? Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.? Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.? Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.? Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.? Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems. ? Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Indeed, LinkedIn, and/or related software.

Education and Experience:

 Required: Associate’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, OR 4+ years of HR experience.? Strongly Preferred: Experience with maintaining the onboarding and credentialing of a 400+ employee organization.? Preferred: SHRM-CP or PHR certification.

Physical Requirements: 

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.? Prolonged periods of standing and interacting with potential employees and managers.Must be able to lift 15-25 pounds on a regular basis with infrequent lifting of 50 pounds.
