Responsibilities:
Responsible for consulting with the other Corporate Directors of Laboratory, Laboratory Directors/Laboratory Managers, overseeing, supervising, and administrating all laboratory activities, in accordance with established hospital and department policies and standards. Ensure laboratory compliance with all criteria mandated by appropriate accrediting and licensing agencies. Standardization of policies and procedures, forms, equipment and supplies throughout the system. Meet with and evaluate vendors for equipment and supplies. Meets with the other Corporate Director of Laboratory for a quarterly business review. Consult and assist the VP of Laboratory Services regarding clinical laboratory operations. Participates in special projects and other assignments with other corporate officers.

Qualifications:Required qualifications:
- Valid state Clinical Laboratory Scientist and/or American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP), American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Association of Biocatalyst (ABB), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (National Accrediting Agency) (CLS NCA) or equivalent license certification required.
- Minimum 10 years management in clinical laboratory environment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration, MSM, MBA or PhD in laboratory technical discipline preferred.
- Development and dissemination of analytic tools for monitoring quality, clinical, and business performance preferred.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Lean belt certification preferred.
- Experience with document control tools and implementation preferred.
- Regional or corporate lab director experience preferred.
