About the Role

The Quality System Specialist will work directly with the Safety and Quality Manager, with-in the QRESH Department, serving a key service provider for manufacturing and distribution operations and also be the lead auditor for internal audits conducting at the Bowling Green site.

This position will be onsite supporting our manufacturing facility located in Bowling Green, KY

What You Will Do

  • Develop, and review procedures that comply with regulations/standards and meet business needs
  • Change Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems (as necessary) to meet changing regulatory and business requirements
  • Lead the scheduling of audits and work with internal auditors to ensure audits are conducted on schedule and any findings are reported and corrective actions initiated.
  • Participate in supplier audits (as required) to ensure compliance with agreed upon standards
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of various EHS related reports.
  • Partner with Quality Leader on areas for skills development (training, education, etc)
  • Maintain Quality, Safety and Environmental System document database in compliance with GMP and ISO requirements to include: ISO 9001/ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 13485;
  • Administer GMS system and continually develop is use throughout the plant
  • Ensure processes are properly documented and kept up to date.
  • Local Bill of Materials
  • Standardize procedures & specifications throughout North America, where applicable
  • Coordinate review / approval of documents
  • Support all plant functions in the daily use of QRESH Systems
  • Coordinate and provide training on approved QRESH Systems
  • Provide training for employees in support of GMP / ISO compliance
  • Provide leadership and guidance to QRESH Dept. and ensure cross-training within specific discipline.
  • Work with all plant functional areas to initiate and improve QRESH Systems
  • Participate in the Cross Functional Team
  • Lead development and implementation of projects to improve business processes and results

Education/Skills:

  • Minimum two years post-high school education, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum two years office/administrative or equivalent experience
  • Advance knowledge of GMP / ISO / CE/HPB Mark requirements and FDA regulations
  • Experience auditing - ISO Lead Auditor
  • Leadership skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical and procedural writing ability
  • Strong PC skills, with intermediate word processing and spreadsheet ability
  • Coaching skills
