Provide and/or assist obtaining resources for individuals and groups seeking access to employment. Help in technology skill development and access educational opportunities. Work Closely with Director of RISE, re-entry staff and community.

Qualifications/Licensure:

Education: (Preferred)

  • High school diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Two years’ related experience within human services and/or public health.
  • Two years’ experience conducting community and/or street outreach, specifically to hard-to-reach populations.
  • Must have experience working with diverse and incarcerated populations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent word processing skills with MS Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and Outlook.
  • Excellent management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to anticipate needs and solve problems, prioritize conflicting demands,
  • Follow-up on tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and facilitate work readiness workshops with recently released individuals: (smartphone navigation, basic computer navigation, resume building, mock interviews, interviewing process, formal dress code, Office/work culture, social media culture, maintaining employment.) 
  • Development program with client and establish individualized care plans related to employment. 
  • Facilitate job searches, assist with online and in-person application processes, email etiquette. 
  • Creating online profiles on work-related sites/applications 
  • Plan course content and sequence of instruction of instruction for learners including instructional materials, concepts, and learning activities. 
  • Improve participant confidence in technology.
