Position Summary:

The Strategy Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of Walker-Miller’s future growth over the next 3-5 years. Reporting to the VP, Business Development, they will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive growth and innovation. The Strategy Manager will analyze market trends, identify opportunities for expansion, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment across the organization. They will also monitor the performance of strategic initiatives and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.

  • Defining, prioritizing, and communicating the vision and roadmap for products and services, in alignment with the client's goals and needs.
  • Collaborating with process owners, managers, and stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and validate requirements for growth in our products and services.
  • Evaluating the performance and outcomes of our products and services, using data-driven metrics and feedback, and identifying opportunities for continuous service improvement.
  • Reviewing the operations and performance of the strategy and driving necessary adjustments.
  • Lead detailed analysis, coordination, and enablement efforts to qualify and advance high-priority deals in collaboration with the Strategy and BD team.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research, customer outreach planning, competitive analysis, and market intelligence gathering, presenting findings internally and to executive audiences. 
  • Develop business cases and executive briefing materials to support capture efforts. 
  • Support the development and maintenance of dashboards, progress reports, data analytics, and briefings related to pipeline development and account tracking. 
  • Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams including market research, growth, accounts, business operations, and back-office teams. 
  • Prepare and deliver reports, visualizations, briefings, and presentations. 
  • Attend relevant customer and industry events, sharing insights and fostering connections.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years’ experience contributing and leading business development activities such as managing and writing proposals and capture efforts or related experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing and supporting go-to-market strategies. 
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with Utility clients, especially in the context of bringing a BD lens to the energy industry transformation.
  • Experience developing vision, strategy and implementing complex program solutions.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary information represents the job level minimum and the job level maximum. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

A team member may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. Walker-Miller Energy Services offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

 Compensation Range: $120,000-$132,750/annual
