Pinnacle Hills Dental Group is looking for an experienced registered dental assistant to join our team!!

Job Summary

The Dental Assistant has the skills, responsibilities, tasks and expectations to assist/support the dentist in delivering exceptional care to all patients under the guidance and support of the dentist and operations leader. The dental assistant contributes to the financial and non-financial success of the practice by ensuring that patients are the number one priority when they arrive at the practice. The dental assistant gains the trust of the patient within their licensure and/or training.

Working under the Direction of the dentist and Operations Leader, the tasks and responsibilities of a Dental Assistant include but are but not limited to: 

  • Sets up/breaks down rooms and operatories to ensure a safe environment for the patients and dentists.
  • Prepares patient for treatment, sterilizes instruments and dental furniture, sets up trays and prepares materials
  • Assists dentist chair-side during procedures
  • Discuss finances when necessary 
  • Takes quality x-rays and iTero digital scans as prescribed by the dentist
  • Provides post operative instructions to patients as needed
  • Instructs patient in oral hygiene when appropriate
  • Manages lab cases, keeps equipment maintenance logs up to date and prepares charts in advance for patient safety, office efficiency and the patient experience.
  • Enters relevant / important information and keeps records into the practice management in support of / under the direction of the dentist
  • Utilizes tools skills and talents to assist patients in making the best possible decision for their needs and helping them get healthier and happier.
  • Has a "yes mentality” when helping patients.
  • Makes a positive first impression with patients by phone or in person.
  • Ensure that our patients have an extraordinary experience
  • Complete Continuing Education as required for self and staff. Follow required HIPAA and OSHA safety procedures, as necessary.
  • Exhibit outstanding customer care with patient as priority; partnering with staff, timely and successfully resolve patient complaints, concerns and questions.
  • Continually build and nurture a positive working relationship with the Operations Leader, doctor(s), hygiene and patient coordinator
  • Strictly follow HIPAA and company standards to protect Patient Health Information (PHI) and patient personal and financial information including credit card, social security numbers etc.
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned

 Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • RDA permit from state of Arkansas
  • Previous dental office experience
