Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday � Friday 8am � 5pm No Weekends

We�re looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team and support our mission of improving lives through exceptional service.
What You'll Do
This position familiarizes patients with eye care procedures, answers patient questions, obtains medical clearances for surgical procedures, and coordinates scheduling with surgical center.
Surgical Coordination
- Provides patients with educational material regarding surgical procedure and lens options.
- Assists patients with selecting appropriate surgical options for Cataract surgery.
- Reviews eye care recommendations and prevention.
- Assists patients with obtaining post-operative eye drops.
- Schedules surgical appointment with patient after initial Cataract Evaluation with Ophthalmologist.
- Schedules all post-op appointments.
- Prepares weekly surgical grid.
- Obtains medical clearances and notes.
- Ensures medical chart is current and accurate.
- Coordinates with surgical center to schedule patients accordingly.
- Provides Administrative support and assistance as needed.
- Requests medical records.
- Completes history and physical forms.
What We're Looking For
�Education: A two-year college degree or (2) completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) job specific skills acquired through on-the-job- training.
� Experience: Three months to one year of relevant experience.
� Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
� Tech-savvy: Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet computer skills
� Attitude: Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
