Job Description:
This job is responsible for managing the end-to-end product life cycle, including conducting market research and competitor analyses, determining product pricing, developing short and long-term strategies, identifying innovative opportunities to modernize product offerings and deliver a more unified customer experience, and adhering to the Product Risk Management policy. Job expectations may include ensuring that product management efforts are integrated with sales, marketing, operations, implementation, and customer service strategies.
Manages SBA 7a and 504 credit products for commercial credit. Ensures that SBA credit products are sustainable through product management effort that integrates with sales, marketing, operations, technology, implementation and servicing. Responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end client and employee experience with Credit Product(s) including: data analytics, integration with multiple lines of business, digital experience, market research and competitive analyses, working with Pricing Manager to determine product pricing, developing short- and long-term strategies/outlooks for assigned product(s), and designing and tailoring products to meet client needs. Competencies required include demonstrated strategic planning/product and process management skills, strong analytical skills with breadth of view, knowledge of commercial credit products, negotiation skills, and 5+ years of related experience.
Responsibilities:
- Identifies and creates comprehensive plans for product development and deployment, including supporting the creation of sales training programs and marketing materials to educate clients and internal teams on product capabilities
- Oversees a set of products and maintains financials, including managing the investment profile and profit and loss (P&L) activities, such as revenue and profit margins
- Provides information on product trends to sales and marketing teams leveraging knowledge of product functionality, marketplace trends, and the competitive landscape
- Identifies opportunities to streamline or enhance product offerings to fit client's existing and future needs and support continued growth and operational excellence
- Manages risk through implementing and monitoring effective controls in partnership with key support partners
- Partners with internal stakeholders to obtain meaningful insights about markets, clients, and competitors in order to develop products that solve client needs and ensure high adoption rates
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related experience
- Traditional Product Management, Commercial Credit experience, SBA experience- including work across the value chain (from sales to underwriting, fulfillment and servicing).
- Product management, process design or project management experience are required.
- Attention to detail, ability to consider risk/reward balance and strength in Excel and PowerPoint are necessary to succeed in this role.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Additional, valuable skills include knowledge of underlying credit processes to deliver these products (structuring, underwriting, monitoring, fulfillment, servicing, data analysis), project management, basic process design and risk/reward balance.
- The ideal applicant will have familiarity with Credit and Credit processes outside of the US
