About the Department

The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Utilities Business Analyst I - Business and Analytical Services in the Department of Utility Services. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under direct supervision, provides business and administrative support for assigned division(s) within the Department of Utility Services including research, data analysis, business planning, budget or financial analysis, and special projects or studies; and performs related work as assigned.
- The salary range for this position is $29.48 - $44.94 hourly.
- Salary placement for non-represented positions is based on a comprehensive compensation review and takes into consideration the candidate's qualifications as well as internal equity.

Position Duties
- Associates degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, finance, environmental science, or a closely related field.
- Two (2) years of experience that included performing research and analysis or preparing analytical reports.
- Note: An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered.
- Desirable: Experience performing research and data analyses for a water or wastewater utility or public works organization.
- Desirable: Experience as an administrative or business analyst for a public sector organization.
