Technology Integration Educator
Purpose Statement
The Technology Integration Educator’s mission is to help other district teachers successfully deploy technology in the implementation of research-backed teaching and learning pedagogies.
Essential Functions
- Plans and delivers technology integration training to district teachers and staff
- Develops curriculum for technology integration training
- Uses research and experience to help teachers create engaging, innovative and effective lessons
- Assists with administration of online testing
- Provides onsite support to teachers at one or more district campus, working as a team with other school and Tech Services personnel to ensure teachers have the tools and knowledge necessary to educate Gilbert students for the world of the future
- Knowledge, desire and ability to stimulate positive change regarding the usage of technology in the district
- Initiate, lead and participate on projects such as rollout of new technologies and teacher development.
- Drives to district schools/sites to perform job functions.
Other Functions
- Assist with the planning and logistics for teacher summer technology training
- Make regular and effective communications to campuses and teachers that the TIE supports
- Remain current on innovative and research-proven strategies for technology-enabled teaching and learning
- Maintain inventory of technology assets at assigned schools

Mental Requirements
Learning Development- Level E Knowledge in a recognized professional field or technological discipline sufficient to command various principles, facts, and practical applications. Learning development is obtained by the completion of a college curriculum resulting in a bachelor's degree in a specialized field; advanced mathematics, very advanced language development, proficient understanding of practical systems.
Problem Solving - Level 3 Work situations are of sufficient scope and variety that significant interpretation and evaluation is required to successfully recognize and define problems. Highly technical judgments and/or constructive thinking involved. Alternative solutions must be considered and short-term action plans must be developed and sequenced.
Physical Requirements
Physical Skill - Level A Basic level of learned physical skill is required. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily.
Physical Effort - Level 1 Minimal physical exertion is required. Most job time is spent sitting with occasional walking. Occasional lifting, guiding, and carrying of lightweight materials or equipment.

Human Relations Skill- Level C Highly developed verbal skills are required to communicate technical concepts and ideas in individual, group, and large audience situations. Scope of Contacts - Level 1 The important job contacts are with peers in the immediate work group and immediate supervisor. Occasional contact with individuals outside the organization may occur.

Experience, Education, and Certifications
Experience: Job related experience within specialized field is required
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution.
Certifications/Clearances: Current Arizona Teaching Certificate, Valid Driver’s License. Must possess a valid Arizona DPS Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card while employed.
