    •   The Kindergarten Connection Teacher will work with at-risk kindergarteners in order to provide intervention in the area of literacy. The teacher will incorporate shared reading, guided reading, interactive writing and best practices to accelerate the reading achievement of struggling readers. The number of hours the KC teacher has at the school is dependent on the numbers of students she/he will serve with most working 18-25 hours per week. KC teachers will meet with at-risk students at least 3 times a week for 30-40 minutes each day. The groups may range from 1-3 students depending on the needs of the students.

    Other requirements include:
    • Hold a current SC teaching certificate preferably in the area of Early Childhood
    • Knowledge of the reading and writing process
    • Experience with 4k or 5K preferred
    • Knowledge of emergent literacy skills
