Hours of Work 

Contract Type: Casual 

  • Hours vary depending on match schedules and events. 
  • Weekend and bank holiday availability required. 

The Position 

We are seeking professional and reliable SIA Response Team Members to join our team, supporting the safe and secure delivery of cricket fixtures and events. 

This role is crucial to ensuring the safety of spectators, staff, and players, while maintaining a calm and professional matchday atmosphere. You will play a key part in responding to incidents, supporting crowd management, and ensuring the venue operates smoothly throughout each event. 

We pride ourselves on teamwork, respect, and professionalism. Team members must be proactive, attentive, and confident in handling fast-paced situations. Training is provided to ensure you are fully prepared for matchday operations. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Incident Response: 
Provide professional responses to incidents or emergencies within and around the venue. Support the Safety and Security teams in resolving issues calmly and efficiently. 

Patrols and Monitoring: 
Conduct proactive patrols of key areas including spectator stands, concourses, and PMOA areas. Maintain high visibility to deter and detect any unauthorised or unsafe activity. 

Crowd Safety Support: 
Assist stewards and supervisors in managing crowds, ensuring spectator movement is safe, orderly, and compliant with venue expectations. 

Communication: 
Maintain clear and professional communication with the Control Room, Safety Officers, and fellow Response Team members. Report all incidents accurately and promptly. 

Matchday Readiness: 
Ensure issued equipment is collected, tested, and returned in good condition. Participate in pre-event briefings and post-event debriefs as required. 

Customer Service: 
Engage with spectators and staff in a friendly, approachable, and professional manner, helping to maintain a positive matchday experience. 

 

Professional Conduct Expectations 

We expect all team members to: 

  • Treat spectators, colleagues, and all staff with professionalism and respect. 
  • Be punctual, focused, and engaged in all duties. 
  • Follow venue safety and security procedures carefully. 
  • Always maintain a calm and controlled presence. 
  • Represent the venue positively throughout every event. 

 

 

Requirements

We are looking for confident, motivated individuals who take pride in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests. 

Essential Requirements: 

  • Valid Level 2 SIA Licence  
  • Aged 18 or over and eligible to work in the UK 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills 
  • Physically fit and able to stand or patrol for extended periods 
  • Positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude 
  • Ability to remain calm and think clearly under pressure 
  • Availability for weekend and evening fixtures 

Desired Requirements: 

  • Valid Level 2 in Spectator Safety or equivalent

Rate of Pay: £16.50 excluding holiday pay
