Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (e.g., project managers, human resources, and technical teams), deliver training programs, and assess employee competencies, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of delivering and supervising training programs, maintaining training documentation, and certifying staff competencies, but also ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Coordinating training activities to ensure safety-critical and other relevant training is carried out effectively and efficiently.

  • Developing and delivering technical and safety training courses.

  • Supporting the internal verification process for technical training and assessments.

  • Managing training logistics, including venue booking, equipment setup, and participant communication.

  • Onboarding new employees and managing their starting needs (e.g., workwear, security access).

  • Maintaining and updating training records to meet audit standards and legal requirements.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Relevant certifications in training and competency management (e.g., IRSE, Train the Trainer).

  • At least 5 years of experience in training management, competency assessment, or related fields within the railway or engineering sector.

  • Understanding of industry standards and regulations related to training and competency (i.e IRSE).

  • Experience in the Design, Development, Delivery, Assessment and Evaluation of high quality re-usable training packages.
  • Experience in conducting in depth Training Needs Analysis, including the identification of Training Objectives, Enabling Objectives and Key Learning Points, including the production of a Training Task Inventory
  • Proficiency in computer office applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in both office and field environments under varying conditions (fit for duty).

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines.

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues.

  • Contribute to innovative projects.

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning.

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
