Job Description:

What you’ll be doing;

As part of our expert consultant team, you’ll play a key role in supporting and optimising our customers’ Oracle SOA integrations.

You will:

  • Provide day-to-day technical support and ensure quality assurance across SOA integrations.
  • Deliver hands-on technical development for implemented new SOA integrations, ensuring performance and stability.
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications, managing documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by helping define and streamline business processes.
  • Drive projects forward — from planning through to delivery — ensuring they are delivered on time and meet customer expectations.
  • Contribute to design, testing, implementation, and post-implementation support using AIM/OUM methodology.
  • Collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot, resolve, and enhance system customisations.
  • Assist with risk and change management to ensure smooth project execution.

You will have:

You’ll bring a SOA development expertise and problem-solving ability.

Ideally, you have:

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle SOA, JDeveloper and Weblogic Server
  • Expertise with SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle EBS.
  • Experience with setting up and maintaining continuous delivery and deployment pipelines
  • Understand legacy, current and evolving integration principles and the state of the Technology/architecture landscape.
  • Understand where SOA solutions are appropriate to propose or act as the basis for design, and where other solutions are more appropriate ( for example Data Integration / ETL / OIC)
  • Understand and be able to communicate enterprise architecture principles, especially for SOA integrations, to include:
      • Bindings
      • Composite applications
      • Service Components
      • JCA and JMS
      • Events and their delivery patterns, including EDN
      • Design of sync and async flows
      • Routing rules
      • Message Transformation
      • BPEL flows
      • Service Versioning
  • Create innovative and efficient technical applications by identifying Oracle Middleware technologies solutions that are realistic, practical and are in alignment with the client’s business strategies.
  • Good knowledge of the WebLogic application Server and Service Composite Application deployment procedures.
  • Architect, design and develop classic successful SOA flows and integrations, to include the above architecture pieces.
  • Experience in web services standards, technologies and tools (e.g. XML, JSON, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, Java Script, etc.).
  • Experience with UNIX and shell scripting.
  • Working knowledge of Message Oriented Middleware and Enterprise Service Bus technologies in general.
  • Experience with the use of SOA Suite to integrate with third party applications
  • Experience working with AWS cloud, core AWS services such as EC2, RDS, Lambda and S3
  • Working knowledge of Git
  • Desirable experience utilizing and creating AWS Cloud Formation templates to automate creation of AWS images
  • The ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • ITIL process knowledge and a solid understanding of ERP best practices.
  • Experience working in Agile product delivery teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work across multiple projects.
  • Great communication skills — both written and verbal — to work effectively with business stakeholders.

              This role requires the candidate to be able to get UK Security clearance.
