Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- Lead and Engage a High-Performance Team: Direct and inspire a production team of 16-20 employees, fostering collaboration and accountability to meet performance goals
- Ensure Quality, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Uphold production processes that meet quality, safety, and environmental standards, creating a safe and compliant work environment
- Optimize Production Resources: Monitor productivity, adjust tasks and scheduling, and efficiently allocate resources to meet production targets
- Train and Develop Team Members: Coach and support your direct reports in enhancing their skills and professional growth through performance management and development programs
- Support Administrative Operations: Manage scheduling, payroll processing, and daily reporting to maintain efficient operations
Qualifications
We invite applicants from candidates who possess the below qualifications:
- Education:
- Minimum: Post-Secondary diploma or trade certification in industrial technology, engineering, or a related field
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in industrial technology, forestry, or business administration
- Experience:
- Minimum: 4+ years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Preferred: Experience working in industrial forestry or sawmill operations
- Certifications:
- Minimum: Relevant safety or industry certifications
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Understanding of safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to work flexible hours, including day and night shifts
