Position Summary:
The Production Planner is responsible for supporting the accurate and on time delivery of FPTC systems projects through positive daily interactions with our suppliers, engineering group, production team and sales representatives. Sourcing/ purchasing/ expediting of materials required for systems and project related jobs, assist in planning and scheduling of jobs and required materials and or documentation. This person will collaborate with the customer service manager, purchasing and engineering teams to ensure clear customer communications.
Primary Duties:
- Support and monitoring of all P21 processing steps required to ensure successful delivery of our FPTC systems projects
- Set up of fluid power components and assemblies into P21. Purchasing of special-order requirements as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Work with Suppliers, Sales Team, Management, Engineering Team to develop and support effective communication within the Fluid Power Technology Center.
- Work with suppliers to establish pricing and lead times as well as component selection. Assist in managing supplier relationships
- Work with Engineering Team to develop procedures to ensure efficient processing of quotes and sales orders working directly with the customer.
- Work with Engineering Team to develop document storage processes.
- Ensure all documentation that is required for the shop is accurate and complete. Coordinate, generate and maintain accurate required documentation, including quotations, ISO requirements, manuals for completed jobs.
Basic Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous background should include knowledge of parts and nomenclature as well as a demonstrated ability to work well with customers and suppliers.
- Experience with distribution and familiarity with our product lines, a plus.
- Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills required.
- Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong computer skills including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), with a willingness to learn new software programs. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, in accordance with company guidelines.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Work environment mainly office, but may vary including: warehouse containing moving equipment, fluctuating temperature and inventory in various storage arrangements, office work, manufacturing, machine shops, agricultural operations, and any other specific business operations of current or potential vendors and customers.

Salary:
$26-$32/per hour, depending on experience
