The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily accounting operations, preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledger integrity, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This role serves as a key point of contact for audits, budgeting, and process improvements to support the organization’s financial health and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
  • Monitor and improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support financial operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • CPA preferred
  • 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in corporate or public accounting.
  • Excel – Advanced Level
  • Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft D365 is a plus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
